However one of the reasons we wanted to purchase Stickley was the understanding it was American made. This is not. Made in Viet Nam and never communicated to us that that was the case. The product is still very good but frankly we didn’t sign up to pay as much as we did for furniture made in Asia and are not pleased that it feels somewhat like a bait and switch.
There were also some problems with the stain and finish coverage in corners. Not a huge deal but for the price paid we noticed this lack of attention to detail and it bothered us. Made more sense after we found a made in Viet Nam sticker on the bottom of a drawer.
Justin, thank you for contacting Stickley customer service. We are sorry for the miscommunication on the manufacturing facility for our Pasadena Bungalow product. This line of product was made exclusively in our Vietnam facility. We do apologize for the issues with stain and finish. We would recommend reaching out to the Stickley showroom from which your nightstand was purchased; it's possible that a service technician can inspect the piece and have these issues repaired.
